When I was in need,
I found someone indeed
Who puts my need in mind
And weighed His support on my kind.
This person is none other than my Lord
Forever you will be my God,
He is a master in deed
A provider for the needy.
While people think there is no more way,
He delights to show and manifest His face,
Let us joyfully come to the throne of grace,
Let us celebrate the good God and hail.
He is a master in deed
He is the Lord of all creation.
Be my master always,
For I will always need you in my needs.

Both sides were cautious,
Both sides were risk aversed.
After-all, they have qualified

However, integrity is playing out here,
Interest and football calculations there,
Flying Eagles were planning their strategies,
Saudi team was frustrating opponent energies.
I defied my Landlord regulations again,
I switched on my miniature generator set,
Since my area PHCN,
Had a problem again to sort out.
Please my dear President,
I know how power restoration is closer to your heart
Continue the efforts with higher alacrity,
To empower Power pumpers to pump us power of light.
We are regular customers to the Saudis,
They are our partner in progress
I am sure they never forget our exploits so soon on their soil,
Especially Daman miracle of Saudi '89.
I love Saudi Arabia
The Saudis love Nigeria equally,
We are parts of the nations of the world,
That make positive economic impression through regular pilgrimage.
On this football field we are not friends,
We are indeed friendly foes that are loved alike
Mr President you must watch this
Because I defied my landlord regulation
By putting on my generator set,
In the dead of night to watch Flying Eagles.
I was enjoying myself
For Musa's mesmerising moves
Had given us a goal before half-time.
Surely, Mr President must watch this.
Tough battle in the second half
The Saudis are not pushover
Determined as the eagles of hope,
Seeking for an equalizer.
Alas! I could here my Landlord knocking....
'Daddy, you want to watch the match?'
'No! I want to rest and sleep'
'Your generating set is preventing my sleep'.
Please, my Landlord is complaining,
Dear Mr President of Hope
That my generator set sound is uncomfortable
That I disturbed his sleep again today.
Flying Eagles have been able to fix the Saudis,
Effort is on to fix Great England too on the field of soccer,
Please, Mr. President fix this rope
That blocks our hope of stable electricity.

The Flying Eagles in Colombia,
Trying to restore our lost image
In fact, I detest the Football phobia,
Yet there is hope oozing from our Eagles of younger ages.
The President must watch this;
Even, the VP with his alluring smiling face,
Because they are the harbingers of great hope;
The Flying Eagles in far away land of Peace
Bringing joy to the hearts of Nigerians at home.
I wish I could watch the first two matches
Where Flying Eagles were flying like birds of hope
Alas! PHCN is disappointing,
In my local area of abode of greater hope.
Please Mr.President, continue the hope
Of making PHCN our next power hope,
To thrive as Flying Eagles over their early opponents,
PHCN's opponent is the darkness in our land.
We have a new brighter hope,
The world is watching us for role
Our hope is in our hands to make,
Our future is in our role of hope.
The Flying Eagles of hope,
I wish I could watch your matches
But it is timed opposite my country's day-time,
Well, hopefully, PHCN will rise to be our hope.
